On October 10, after a hiatus of three years and eleven months, the official account of the editorial department of Shonen Jump broke the news that the story of the succession war and the elusive pursuit of Hisoka would finally return to the pages of their honorary magazine.

However, in a particularly important development, Togashi revealed on August 29 that, tired of the war between his growing workload and his chronic pain, he chose to hire more assistants.
